Edward and Sally’s glorious {Wedding} at Deer Park Hall, Pershore

Posted on Feb 4th 2014

Sally & Edward’s wedding day at Deer Park Hall in Eckington last July, was a truly “tailored to the couple’s personalities” event and one of the most unique wedding days that I’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph!

Everything from Sally’s dress (that she designed herself) to her 2 horses being ‘special surprise guests’ at the wedding, it all made for a beautiful bespoke wedding day.

I joined Sally at their home, in Worcester, on the morning of the wedding, to photograph her getting ready and departing to the church in Whittington. It’s a beautiful little church and the ceremony was very intimate.

From there we all travelled to Deer Park Hall near Pershore for the reception. All the guest mingled outside for the reception drinks and some of the best canapés/snacks that I’ve ever tasted. The weather was absolutely glorious and it really showed off this lovely venue.

After spending some time with the guests and taking care of the group shots, we got to spend some time with Sally’s horses. They were a fantastic added bonus to this wedding and they just took everything in their stride, despite not really liking, nor trusting, those deer like things up on the hill 😉

The wedding breakfast was a great affair with lots of laughter and a very detailed speech by the Bride’s father (including lots of props!)

This couple (both teachers) really made the day their own and put so much work into the wedding themselves. Sally made the cake and the favours, they decorated the venue and did the flowers themselves and Edward designed a crossword puzzle for each guests’ place setting which were all based on Edward and Sally’s relationship.

And at the end of the evening, the absolute highlight of the whole day was the full ‘Strictly Come Dancing style” Foxtrot that they performed as their first dance. They had been attending dance classes for 18 months (in secret) to be able to pull off this stunning performance, which included THREE lifts, at their wedding.

I loved being part of Edward and Sally’s wedding day and I hope you enjoy the selection of images from their wedding below.
