Challinor Family {Lifestyle} shoot in Harvington and Abbey Park, Evesham.
Posted on Oct 4th 2013On a sunny day back in July I had the pleasure to spend the morning with the Challlinor family.
We started off at Abbey Park in Evesham. I always try and put the children at ease before taking my camera out of the bag. This ensures that they meet and connect with me as a person, before they then see me as a photographer for whom they’ve got to smile!
Playing games and getting down to their level builds some trust and friendship with them which in turn means that they are happy to go along with the things I ask them to do.
I always aim to capture a variety of images of each person. Smiling, not smiling, deep in thought, playful, posed and not posed, and generally just being themselves. I also try and do different combinations of the family members together as well as the whole family group, thus ensuring there are lots of images to choose from during their viewing.
After we finished our walk around Abbey Park, we decided to return to Harvington to take a few more photos closer to their home. As usual we visited my favourite dilapidated shed to create a few gorgeous images of the children.
Here are a few of my favourites from the day.
